Don’t wait for sunny weather before you get out and about having fun, get motivated, and get to The Great Western Classic Car Show. It’s a fabulous weekend, you really won’t regret it. It’s the perfect opportunity to meet like minded enthusiasts, and if you’re a classic car owner yourself you’ll find a wide range of specialist traders there. If you’re searching for a rare part, you might just find it here. If you don’t own a classic car, that could all change at the show, as project cars are for sale in the classic car park. It could be the start of a lifelong new hobby! Don’t forget to visit us when you’re looking for a new private registration for your new classic car, we’re sure to have the perfect plates for you. Thousands of people attend the show each year, and Car Clubs have a great presence. Each club sets up a display and a lot of effort goes into making these a real sight to behold. Whether they’re out to impress, or simply to amuse, you never quite know what you’re going to see next. Pick out your favourites then watch the awards presentation at 4pm on Sunday to see if your predictions match with those of the judges. As well as the club displays, there’s also an incredible number of privately owned classic cars for you to take a close look at. Why not take your own? It costs just £5 for a driver and £13 per passenger, and you’re automatically entered to win an award. That would be something great to take home with you! The Automotive Garage Clearout is a real treasure trove. Imagine a huge car boot sale, but one that only sells classic car related items! This year there’s a special marquee featuring classic cars from the 1980s! It’ll be a real trip down memory lane, particularly for those of us who grew up in that iconic decade. Look out for the Austin Mini, the Porsche 911 and the Ford Sierra RS500. So why not head to the Royal Bath & West Showground in Shepton Mallet on February 8th or 9th. Tickets are available on the door for £13 (under 5s are free) and don’t forget, take your own classic vehicle and you’ll get an £8 reduction on your ticket price!
