The Last F1 Race of the Season – What to do now?

This weekend sees the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix at the Yas Marina Circuit for the finale of the 2019 Formula One season. It’s been another great year for F1 racing and we’re all a little sad when it comes to an end for another year. It becomes such an important part of the calendar, it’s been constantly talked about in the office all summer. So now what will we do with our weekends and what will become the next hot topic of conversation?

Well we think there are plenty of great ways to keep yourself entertained without missing the F1 action too much. Here are some of the race related ways in which the Speedy Reg team will be filling their time now that F1 season is coming to a close…

Head to the track yourself

You’ve spent all summer watching the pros racing round the world, how about giving it a go yourself with a track day? There you can experience what it’s really like to drive at speed on a real racetrack. You can get on the track yourself, but it’s always particularly exhilarating to take a passenger ride with a racing driver too, but certainly not the faint hearted! Those speeds feel a lot faster then they look on television! A track day experience also makes a great Christmas gift if you haven’t finished all your shopping already.

Be a virtual F1 driver

When the weather gets cold, sometimes all you want to do is hide indoors. You might spend this time watching films or your favourite box sets,  or you could get an F1 game on your favourite games console and be part of the action. Race online against friends and bring the world of F1 racing back into your living room.

Go tour Silverstone

One fabulous F1 related day out that is certainly on our Christmas list to Santa is a tour of Silverstone. It’s the ultimate day out for any F1 fan giving you a 2 hour behind the scenes insight into the workshops, race control and even a chance to have your photo taken on the winner’s podium!

Treat your car to some TLC

Now you have a little extra time on your hands, perhaps you can spend that time treating your own car to a new personalised number plate?
