The historic site is the perfect setting for more than 100 vehicles representing several decades of military history. Stroll around the Paddock and the Motoring Village to see a Centurion MK12 Tank, Scammell heavy loaders, armoured personnel carriers, jeeps, motorbikes and more. The spirit of wartime feels so real in this magical setting, helped along by the many war-time re-enactment groups that attend the day. It will bring history to life and give your kids a real insight into the past that’s as fun as it is educational. You’ll be able to see several of the vehicles in action, being pushed to their limits on the Mercedes-Benz World 4×4 course and the Test Hill climb at the Museum site. There’s even the opportunity to have a go yourself if you’re feeling brave enough. Driving military vehicles certainly isn’t for the faint hearted! The event takes place on November 17th from 10:00am until 4:00pm. So much to see on any day If you can’t attend the Military Vehicles Day, a visit to Brooklands Museum is fantastic on any day, so it’s still definitely worth a visit. There are some amazing aircraft on display in the massive, awe-inspiring Bellman Hangar, created to resemble an Aircraft Factory. Or how about a tour of Concorde, the most famous aircraft in the world? You can also step aboard the Vickers 1103 VC10 ‘Sultan of Oman’, the most luxurious aircraft ever built. Add to this the historic bikes, the F1 simulator and the 4D theatre and it’s easy to see how you can spend the entire day enthralled in all that Brooklands Museum has to offer.
