Held within seven halls at the Birmingham NEC, this is a car show that the weather can’t spoil. It’s a huge event, in fact it’s the biggest gathering of car and motorcycle clubs in the entire world. You’ll get to see more than 3000 classic and vintage vehicles in total and the show aims to ensure that every single vehicle is unique. From traditional vintage cars to American muscle cars and retro hot hatches, you’ll find it all here. It’s a virtual tour through history with steam powered vehicles started with a crank handle, through to classics of the 20s and 30s such as the iconic Rolls-Royce then onwards to the 70s with the Capri and then to the future with some modern day classics and icons of the motorsports world. People flock to the show from all over the world. Last year more than 71,000 people visited the show and this year is likely to be even more popular. If you’re looking for a rare part, or want to find a specialist service dealer, then you must check out the UK’s biggest indoor Autojumble with more than 650 trade stands. You might even be able to pick up some truly unique Christmas presents while you’re there! There are plenty of events going on over the weekend too. The Practical Challenge sees an amazing restoration transformation performed in just three days. The Discovery Live Stage sees celebrities and motoring experts taking to the stage, with a packed timetable running for the entire duration of the show. The show runs from Friday 8th to Sunday 10th November. The show opening times are: Friday 8 November: 10.00am – 6.30pm Saturday 9 November: 9.00am – 6.30pm Sunday 10 November: 9.00am – 5.30pm Tickets can be bought in advance but you can also pay on the door. Advanced tickets do work out cheaper though. Parking is £12 per car and there is a shuttle bus to take you straight from the car parks to the show halls. Parking for motorbikes is free of charge. With this being the 35th anniversary of the show, a Special Edition Top Trumps set has been launched to celebrate, featuring 30 classic cars, many of which you can actually see for real at the show.
