Jayne Henry October 22, 2019 Motoring UK Speedyreg – Malvern Festival of Transport 2019 There’s a lot going on this month for car enthusiasts, not least of which is the fabulous Malvern Festival of Transport at the Three Counties Showground in Malvern. This is always a very popular event and it just gets bigger and better every year. Last year saw more than 600 classic vehicles on display along with more than 40 classic commercial vehicles and over 80 trade stalls. This year, expect even more! Amazing displays The highlight of the Malvern Festival of Transport has got to be the displays. The private vehicles are displayed by age, from pre-60s onwards. So you can easily head to your era of choice. You’ll find all sorts of fascinating vehicles to get up close to such as sports cars and convertibles, kit and custom cars and some awesome American vehicles too. The show is always well attended by a wide range of car clubs so expect to see the likes of West Midland Fords, Arden MG Club, Mini Cooper Register, Stag Owners Club, Reborn Classics and more. The Malvern Motorcycle Show is also included in the event with vintage and classic bikes on display from Norton Owners Club, the British 2 Stroke Club and VMCC. The vehicle concours is a popular feature of the show, this year commentator Les Clayton will be handing out the awards. Great shopping opportunities The trade and autojumble stalls are always worth a browse offering a wide variety of auto-related merchandise such as rare car parts and accessories, as well as gift items such as clothing and signs. From classics to modern day For the first time this year, the Malvern Festival of Transport will also play host to a variety of modern dealerships and manufacturers with experts on hand to give you the lowdown on some modern cars you may be interested in. A full day out There’s a cafe on site serving everything from bacon butties and burgers to a full roast dinner. There’s plenty of parking and it’s free of charge to park for the show. Dogs are also welcome. Why not take along your own classic car or motorcycle to display? You don’t need to book in advance, just turn up on the day and let the staff on the door know you want to exhibit your vehicle and they’ll point you in the right direction. It’s certainly a great opportunity to meet other like-minded people.
