Right, but you do have Pretend to Be a Time Traveller Day because that was invented way back in history, 2007 to be precise. Join in! I know you really enjoyed Pretend to Be a Time Traveller Day in 2027, so you must get involved this year. But where to begin? Well first it’s time for some serious research. So forget about cleaning the house, the Christmas shopping can wait, you’ve got something far more important to do. You need to sit down and re-watch some classic time traveller viewing material. You’ll certainly learn a lot from the experts, so Dr Who is a must. Then there’s the Back to Future films, you’ll pick up some good tips there too. Decide on your era Do you have a favourite time period? It’s up to you which era you’re visiting the present from. Perhaps you’d like to be a Victorian time traveller, or maybe you’d like to visit from the future. Fancy a costume? Whether it’s a fine suit and a top hat, or a shiny silver Lycra bodysuit, you’re sure to find just the perfect outfit to compliment your new persona. Of course costumes are totally optional, you may prefer to dress like the locals so you blend in better. Get into character Now all you have to do is stay in character all day. Does your female work colleague wear trousers? If you’re a Victorian time traveller, this could be very shocking to you! If you’re from the future, you could ask someone where the nearest sky taxi is or comment in the coffee shop queue that the last time you bought a latte it was 2000 credit units. Time-proof plates for time travellers All good time travellers need a time machine, so be like Marty McFly with the Delorean and make your car your vehicle for visiting the past and the future.
