HomeRegistrationsA Look Back at the Evolution of the SpeedyReg Website Jayne Henry December 13, 2018 Registrations As the way in which we view websites changes, it’s so important for us as a business to give you what you want and what you need. Back when we first launched our website, most of our site visitors were using desktop computers. Internet speeds were generally slower, so a site that kept things simple and allowed users to get the information they wanted as quickly as possible was a must. As time moved on, Internet speeds improved, with faster connections, we were able to offer a site that was more technically advanced and just a little bit prettier too! Back then, all we had to worry about was making sure our website worked well on all the major browsers, but then the handheld revolution hit the world by storm and suddenly everyone was online on mobile phones and tablets. The screen of a mobile is so much smaller than that of a desktop PC or laptop, and so it was incredibly important to ensure that everyone saw the same content, well presented, no matter what device they were using. So we totally redesigned our website to make sure everyone had the same great experience, from a six inch phone user to someone with a 27” monitor. We’ve always taken on board your feedback and comments, and we really appreciate you letting us know what you think of our site. If something doesn’t work well for you, you feel there’s a feature or some information that’s missing from our website, do drop us a line. While we do spend a lot of time testing our site, it’s you, the customers that are using it in a real-life situation, so any feedback you have really is invaluable. We’ve recently revamped our site yet again, making all the information clear, our prices transparent, and ensuring navigation around our site, and the checkout process is as simple and smooth as possible. Of course the online world never stands still, so we’ll be constantly looking for ways to improve our site further. It will be so interesting to look back again in another decade and see just how far technology has advanced, and of course we’ll be right here keeping on top of it to bring you the best online experience possible!
