Snoopy was a childhood nickname that’s stuck with him ever since. He’s won countless awards over the years and has sold over 35 million albums. His musical talent was obvious from a young age when he would sing and play the piano at his local Baptist church. He then began rapping and got into a lot of trouble with the law as a teenager, spending some time in prison. Luckily, a solo freestyle over Hold On by En Vogue was featured on a mix tape that was heard by producer Dr Dre, and he immediately got in touch. This was the start of a great career for Snoop Dogg.
