Posthumous Prince Album Set to be Truly Special

The world was stunned and saddened when the news broke that Prince has passed away in April 2016 aged just 57. With his unique style and massive following, Prince sold over 100 million albums during his career, albums that are timeless. But of course, when we lose a great music icon, we lose the chance to hear anything more from that artist. That is, unless some previously unreleased material is found and that is exactly what’s happened, giving us a brand new Prince album!

Piano & A Microphone 1983

The title of the album, Piano & A Microphone 1983 says it all. The album features 9 tracks, recorded by Prince, on his own in his home recording studio, accompanying himself on the piano. It’s a raw and personal album that reminds us that Prince will forever live on. It’s amazing to think that these songs were recorded before Purple Rain was released!
