It’s Time for a Treat – Spoil Yourselves, it’s Chocolate Day!

Whoever invented Chocolate Day deserves an award. It’s now my new favourite day. Forget Christmas and birthdays, we’re all about Chocolate Day here in the Speedy Reg offices. Today there will be no mention of diets, salad has been banned. It’s time to indulge in our most beloved of treats without a shred of guilt.

From chocolate cake to Mars bars, big bars of Dairy Milk to gourmet dark chocolate, all washed down with a big mug of hot chocolate. There’s something so special about chocolate isn’t there? It’s the ultimate treat. So why not join us and enjoy your own favourite chocolate, or visit a friend and take a big box of chocolates round to share?

We’ll certainly be celebrating. If anyone offers me a biscuit that isn’t smothered in chocolate, they’ll be in trouble! How will you be celebrating? You could get inventive and create a three course menu all based around chocolate. Perhaps you could set up a chocolate fountain? Or just go to the shop and buy some chocolate bars you’ve never tried, for a big family taste test!

What’s your favourite chocolate bar? Does a Mars a day help you work rest and play? Then how about the plate 32 MAR. Love the crumbliest flakiest chocolate that tastes like chocolate never tasted before? Then you may like the registration 87 AKE. If the Milky Bars are on you, or if your fave is a Milky Way, then you could go for M6 LKY.

Even though they’ve never quite been the same since they sneakily took the raisins out, Double Deckers are still pretty yummy. If they are your favourite, you could have 48 DD or 97 DD. Everyone loves a Curly Wurly, they instantly remind you of childhood and always made an appearance in the selection boxes you got at Christmas from relatives who couldn’t think what to get you. We’ve got a great plate for Curly Wurly lovers… WUR 1Y. Or how about the rather more distinguished Fry’s Chocolate Cream or Fry’s Peppermint Cream, the sickly sweet delight smothered in dark chocolate. If this is your bar of choice, you could have 41 FRY or 444 FRY.  Then there’s Twix. Is it a chocolate bar? Or is it just a fancy biscuit? Who cares, they’re yummy and you can have a 1 WTX plate right now!
