HomeRegistrationsThis Could Be The Most Fascinating Night Out You Ever Have! Jayne Henry February 14, 2018 Registrations Head to the SSE Arena in Belfast on February 15th and you’re in for a real treat. Back in 1977, a whole generation of kids watched the moon landing and wanted to be an astronaut when they grew up. While most of them ultimately ended up in other more down to earth careers, one little Canadian boy, Chris Hadfield, actually fulfilled his childhood dream and spend his 35 year career as an astronaut. Colonel Chris Hadfield will be speaking at the SSE arena and it’s bound to be incredibly interesting. It will be an amazing night out for the whole family. You might remember Chris from his rendition of David Bowie’s Space Oddity that he performed on the ISS that went viral. He’s certainly got a lot to talk about. He was the first Canadian ever to walk in space, he’s flown two space shuttle missions and he served as commander on the ISS. Five months spent in space is certainly going to give you some great stories to tell, and he’ll be telling plenty of them at the SSE, along with some fascinating and rarely seen video footage. Get involved with the NI Science Festival This event kick starts the NI Science Festival that runs from 15th to 25th February.
