DVLA Reduces Transfer Fee for Retaining a Plate to £80

It’s not often we see fees going down instead of up, so make the most of it.

It’s much more than just a price reduction though, the whole process has been simplified making it easier to manage and therefore resulting in faster transfer times. The process will now be much quicker. The price has dropped from £105 to £80. It doesn’t matter if you apply on paper or online, you’ll still pay this new reduced price. The annual renewal fee of £25 has now gone, and the renewal period extended to ten years which should save a lot of unnecessary hassle! In addition to this, if you add or change the nominee details, you can now do it free of charge.

The DVLA have also upgraded their computer systems, so you’ll now get instant confirmation of your successful transfer application. Great if you’re in a hurry to get it all sorted!
