You will now be able to tax your vehicle online, over the phone, or at one of 175 Post Office branches. To tax your vehicle online go to www.gov.uk/taxdisc To tax your vehicle by phone call 0300 123 4321 (Textphone – 033 790 6201) Calls cost approximately 2p – 10p from a landline and 10p – 40p from a mobile phone. You’ll need the following information to hand: The 16 digit reference number from your tax reminder or the 11 digit number from your log book. Exemption certificate details if applicable. A credit or debit card to make your payment with. If you tax your vehicle at your local post office you’ll need the following information with you. Your completed motoring tax reminder.
