HomeCherished Number PlatesTransferring your new registration… Jayne Henry December 27, 2013 Cherished Number Plates, Personalised Number Plates It’s Christmas Day any you have just been given the best present ever, a personalised registration. The registration is still on certificate, you are so excited and cannot wait to get it onto your vehicle. Obviously you will have to wait a few days to start the transfer with it being Christmas so why not take this time to explore the options you have if you are not sure how the transfer procedure works. Are you based in Northern Ireland and your registration is a DVLA personalised registration? You will be unable to transfer it onto your vehicle in Northern Ireland, however all is not lost. Many people in Northern Ireland have problems trying to get their DVLA registration from certificate onto their vehicle and when they attempt to transfer it they are told it cannot be done. Speedy Registrations can help with this type of transfer as they have vehicles in the GB mainland, which you can use to transfer your registration onto to take it off retention and this can then be transferred onto your vehicle in Northern Ireland. The process isn’t complicated when you understand how it’s done and the sales team at Speedy Reg will talk you through the process so you understand how it works. If you are based in GB you may not realise that all the local DVLA offices have now closed therefore you will no longer be able to have your registration assigned over the counter. All DVLA retention documents must now be assigned directly with the DVLA in Swansea. If you don’t feel comfortable doing this yourself then why not ask your registration dealer to do this for you. Speedy Reg will offer this service to all their customers. Why not give Speedy Reg a call today and they will talk you through the process, do everything on your behalf, send you out a detailed explanatory letter and make sure everything runs smoothly and on time.
