His plate 0INK could be thought to be linked to the derogatory term for the police ‘pig’. However Mr Vawter believes in freedom of speech and is keen to keep his plate and so he is suing the bureau. He has had this plate for three years, but it is only now that they have decided not to renew it. Rodney Vawter sees the plate as a bit of joke, he’s been called a ‘pig’ many times over his career as a police officer and doesn’t take it to heart. He thinks his plate is funny and not offensive and will be fighting to keep it. Good luck Rodney!
