HomeMotoring UKNew Electric Range Rover Unveiled Jayne Henry February 25, 2011 Motoring UK Land Rover has revealed a diesel-electric plug-in hybrid version of the Range Rover Sport ahead of the Geneva show. The Range is said to emit just 89g/km thanks to the addition of an electric motor and battery pack which allow the car to travel up to 20 miles on electric power alone. The manufacturer hasn’t released specific details of the new tech yet, but it shares the model’s powertrain with a conventional 3.0-litre TDV6 diesel engine. Land Rover says the four-wheel-drive SUV has a top speed of 120mph and should be deliver a 690 mile range. Expect to see more details on the new Range_e when the car is unveiled in Geneva.
