HomeMotoring UKLTA launches new Government number plates Jayne Henry December 27, 2010 Motoring UK The Land Transport Authority launched five new significant initiatives yesterday including new distinctive number plates for all government vehicles. At the launch yesterday, Minister for Works and Transport Col Timoci Natuva said the initiatives are a milestone which includes the new operational fleet equipped with state of the art mobile access information systems, new corporate uniforms, new LTA Command Centre which will monitor and provide 24 hour feedback on operations, newly designed number plates for all government vehicles and the 3rd edition of the Road Code. Colonel Natuva said LTA has come a long way in terms of its existence in the regulatory and enforcement sphere. He also revealed that LTA has after a long time reached its revenue target of $22 million this year. Meanwhile with the change in the Government number plates, LTA General Manager Operations Josefa Vosanibola said it will be easier to identify the government vehicles.
